Day trip to Maasai cultural village tour itinerary

We travel to West Kilimanjaro region's Olpopongi early in the morning. Olpopongi is 74 kilometers away from Moshi. On our two-hour drive, we will explore the breathtaking West Kilimanjaro wilderness. Depending on the season, zebras and elephants occasionally appear in games. On clear days, you'll be able to see Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro in all their magnificence. The Maasai locals in Olpopongi will welcome us with music and dance when we first arrive there at about lunchtime. After you've had fun singing with them, the guide will lead you to a small museum where you can discover more about the Maasai people's history, social structure, and tools. We'll pause for a typical Tanzanian lunch in between sessions to give you the stamina you need for a fun afternoon of activities. Later in the evening, take a drive back to Moshi or Arusha.
